What is PC's For Youth (PC4Y)?

PC's For Youth is an organization located in LaGrange, Indiana that gives free reburished computers to students in LaGrange, Noble, Steuben, and DeKalb Counties to use for educational purposes.

Where does PC4Y get their computer from?

PC's For Youth recieves their computers through donation from local businesses and community members. PC's For Youth accepts many different items through donations, a list can be found on the donation page.

How old do you have to be to recieve a computer from PC4Y?

PC's For Youth has no age limit to recieve a computer. You can be 16 or 62 to recieve a computer from PC's For Youth. As long as you don't have a computer in your household already and you are going to use the computer for an educational purpose (high school, college, etc.)

If I recieve a computer from the PC4Y program, Do I just get the computer?

No, you get the monitor, tower, mouse, and keyboard. Currently PC's For Youth does not have printers or scanner but you can get a good printer at either Wal-Mart or Staples for arond 25.00 or 30.00. If you recieve a computer from PC's For Youth and have any questions on what and where you should be are always happy to offer Tech Advice!

How many families have benefited from the PC4Y program?

PC's For Youth has given out over 80 computers to students/families since our founding in 2006. We give more and more computers out each year! In 2009 we had a record of over 100 applications.

Where does PC4Y get their funding?

PC's For Youth gets their funding through donations from businesses and community memebers. PC's For Youth also gets some of their funding from grants from different organizations.
